Privacy Policy
Effective September 2026. We ask for as little as possible, and we tell you exactly what happens to it.
What we collect
When you connect. First name and email address. That is the entire required form. If you choose to answer the optional follow-up questions after you submit, we also store what you tell us there — your pathway of interest, phone number, organization, or message.
When you browse. Standard analytics: pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, device type, and how you arrived (campaign tags in the link). Analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the banner; if you decline, we still count the visit without cookies.
When you chat with DIANA. The messages you send to our assistant, so we can answer and improve the answers.
How we use it
To reply to you personally, to send the D-INTEL briefing if you asked for it, to route you to the right jobs, contracts, or partners, and to understand which pathways Detroiters need most. We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share contact lists with advertisers.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use service providers strictly to operate this site: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for usage measurement, and an AI provider that powers the DIANA assistant. They may only process data to deliver those services.
Cookies and tracking
Analytics storage defaults to denied. The consent banner lets you accept or decline, and you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser. Essential cookies needed to keep the site working are always on.
How long we keep it
Contact records are kept while your inquiry is active and for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention window.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Every briefing has an unsubscribe link. To make a request, email info@detroitintelligence.net. We respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Health information
We publish public health statistics for informational purposes. We are not a health care provider, we do not collect medical records, and nothing here is medical advice or protected health information under HIPAA.
